Summary

The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and motivated Program Manager to collaborate closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in a role that offers significant growth opportunities within medical affairs, hospital operations, and health system strategy. This position serves as a key liaison among various stakeholders across the medical center, providing a unique chance to engage with leadership, clinical teams, and operational staff to drive impactful initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

The Program Manager will oversee several critical projects, including:

1. Hospital Capacity Management (Bayview Blueprint): Play a pivotal role in strategic planning and execution of the Bayview Blueprint, aimed at optimizing hospital capacity and enhancing patient flow throughout the facility.

2. Quality Initiatives: Lead and support quality improvement initiatives affiliated with the Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) and Vizient, ensuring that the medical center adheres to high standards of care and excels in various quality metrics.

3. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and support strategic priorities. Support JHBMC Medical Director initiatives as needed/interested.

4. Meeting Coordination: Manage complex scheduling and logistics for meetings involving multiple stakeholders. This includes setting agendas, preparing materials, and documenting discussions and action items to ensure accountability and follow-through.

5. Professional Development: The role is designed to allow the Program Manager to pursue areas of personal and professional interest, thereby fostering a well-rounded experience that aligns with long-term career aspirations in operations and health system strategy.

Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business in Health Administration, Project Management, or related degree is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training
Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification strongly preferred.

Work Experience
5-7 years of experience managing programs and projects that must include:
Minimum three (3) years providing project or team leadership
Minimum three (3) years’ experience working on project(s) involving project life cycle methodologies
Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing project budgets

Salary Range: $37.04 /hour - $61.16 /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
