Job Title: Nurse Educator – Senior Director (System Director RN Education) – DNP/PhD Required
Location: New York, NY
Assignment Type: Contract (Local & Travel Candidates Accepted)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours per Week: 40 hours, with flexibility as needed
Shift Schedule: Day Shift, Monday–Friday (Hybrid: 2 days on-site, 3 days remote; travel to acute care facilities required as needed)
Pay Range:
- Local: $2,625 – $2,887.50 weekly
- Travel: $3,300 – $3,548.50 weekly
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Nurse Educator – Senior Director (System Director RN Education) for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a system-wide nursing education strategy, including orientation, competency assessment, and professional development programs.
- Lead curriculum design and implement scalable training initiatives across multiple hospitals and departments.
- Collaborate with leadership to address workforce development and succession planning needs.
- Establish and maintain education policies aligned with best practices, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure equitable access to resources, addressing diverse learning styles and needs.
- Support certification pathways, advanced practice role development, and leadership pipelines.
- Integrate innovative teaching technologies (simulation, e-learning, VR, etc.) into education programs.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on program effectiveness, linking education outcomes to quality metrics and staff engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Licensure / Certification:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license – required
- Nursing leadership certification – preferred
Education:
- Doctoral degree required (Ph.D., Ed.D., or Doctor of Nursing Practice – DNP)
Experience:
- Proven leadership experience overseeing nursing education across multiple hospitals – required
- Strong background in curriculum development, workforce planning, and program evaluation – required
- Prior supervisory or senior leadership role in nursing education – required
Core Skills:
- Expertise in nursing education program design and implementation
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to build consensus and collaborate within a large, diverse healthcare system
- Knowledge of emerging and innovative teaching methodologies and technologies
