Role Overview:

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a passionate and reflective Math teacher to deliver highly personalized instruction in a one-on-one and at-home learning environment. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, foster foundational academic skills, and support students in developing confidence and independence in mathematics across middle and high school levels.

The right educator will:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver at-home and one-on-one instruction across core math curriculum for grades 6–12.
• Implement developmentally appropriate, interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies based on each student’s needs and learning style.
• Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and personalize learning.
• Collaborate with families to co-design individualized learning plans and ensure strong school-home connections.
• Foster a supportive and structured environment that nurtures student confidence and academic achievement.

Qualifications:

Knowledge / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics education, Mathematics, or related field (master’s preferred).
• Must hold valid Florida Teacher Certification in Math 6-12 or Middle Grades Math 5-9, OR a Temporary Florida Teaching Certificate with an agreement to complete requirements for full Florida Educator Certification in Math 6-12 or Middle Grades Math 5-9 within three years of employment start date.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience in middle and high school grades preferred.
• Strong background in mathematics instruction.
• Experience with interdisciplinary and project-based teaching approaches.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Driven, reflective learner with a growth mindset.
• Must have empathy for students and enthusiasm for developing personalized, one-to-one learning relationships.
