Limited Term Maintenance Technician (Floater – Madison Area)
Hours: 25 to 40 hours per week based on your availability Location: Various Section 42 senior and multi-family properties within the Madison area

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician (LTE Floater) to support multiple properties across the Madison area. This limited-term role offers a flexible schedule of 25–40 hours per week based on your availability. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work environment and takes pride in maintaining safe, comfortable, and well-functioning living spaces.

As a floater, you will assist with day-to-day maintenance operations at several Section 42 senior and multi-family housing communities in the Madison market. Responsibilities include performing routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and occasional renovations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our properties remain in excellent condition and that residents receive prompt, high-quality service.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks
  • Assist with unit turnovers and renovations
  • Respond to service requests professionally and promptly
  • Maintain clean, safe workspaces across assigned properties

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Will move/transport and install/take out appliances. Will ascend and descend as well as work atop a ladder. Will diagnose and detect issues with appliances and machinery then fix accordingly. The employee regularly communicates with customers and tenants. The employee is frequently required to move about and reach for items. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 70+ pounds.
