Job Summary:

To provide basic maintenance, repair, installation, cleaning and modification of equipment related to forklifts.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Safety adherence.
• Preventative Maintenance Schedule Adherence.
• Ability to handle parts without damaging people, parts or property.
• Timely and accurate record keeping.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Recognizes, investigates and reports findings on maintenance problems related to forklifts.
• Ability to troubleshoot/repair forklift/manipulator problems.
• Hydraulic- leaks, resealing of cylinders, overhaul of control valves, etc.
• Electrical- starting problems, wiring repairs, etc.
• Mechanical- engine tune ups Engine/Transmission replacement, mast repairs.
• Assign shift work and train new employees as needed.
• Obtain/order necessary parts using service manuals.
• Attend meetings to discuss equipment issues or problems.

Requirements:

• 3+ years Forklift repair experience.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Self motivated and positive attitude.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
