Summary

We seek a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Cescaphe Event Group. In this role, you will assist in menu planning and food preparation for high-end events, ensuring that each dish meets our standards of excellence. Your contributions will be vital in delivering an extraordinary dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and recipe development.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
• Manage inventory control to minimize waste and optimize supply usage.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with the banquet team to coordinate food service for events.
• Train new kitchen staff on procedures and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and acceptable dining standards.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Experience in menu planning and inventory control is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Education: Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• Certificates/Licenses: Servesafe Certification within 90 days of hire
• Work Experience: At least Four years of related experience and training
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
