Description:

• The Counselor position in Brentwood, NY offers full-time onsite work within a substance abuse treatment setting.
• The role involves direct service delivery, client recruitment, and engagement, while maintaining professional relationships with outside agencies.
• Proficiency in Spanish is required.

Requirements:

• Conduct assessments and intakes for treatment level determination.
• Complete administrative procedures for client admission.
• Facilitate referrals to other programs or agencies as needed.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
• Manage assigned caseload and clinical interventions.
• Participate in staff meetings and case conferences.
• Conduct toxicology testing as needed.

Qualifications:

• Licensure as CASAC, CASAC-T, CRC, LMHC, LMSW, LMFT, LCSW or higher preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• Experience in 822 clinics and community outreach preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
• Flexibility in scheduling if needed.
