We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant/Consultant to join a dynamic consulting team. This role offers a unique opportunity to specialize in governmental accounting, serving a diverse range of local government entities, including cities, counties, school districts, libraries, townships, and more. The work is both rewarding and impactful, contributing to the financial health and transparency of local government organizations.

As a consultant, your primary focus will be preparing financial statements for local governments, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will also be involved in Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) reports, internal auditing, cash reconciliations, and a variety of other services tailored to governmental entities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0
CPA certification or the ability to obtain a CPA license is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
Leadership abilities and a self-starting attitude
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
A passion for becoming an expert in governmental accounting
Proficient in Excel and Word
